Mavlife is the student-run news-magazine of the La Costa Canyon High School produced by the Journalism program.

Formerly known as The Lariat, Mavlife is the voice of students on campus. In addition to bringing student news to the community, Mavlife is an open-forum publication that seeks to create dialogue on pertinent issues. This occurs through the monthly print  version of the publication, and online through LCCnews.com.

Mavlife staff members adhere to the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics, and the publication is a member of the Journalism Education Association, National Scholastic Press Association, and the Student Press Law Center.
