Through the newly sprouted techno rave culture, one figure has recently stolen the hearts of countless youth with his second full length production of rich, clean, and simple progressive electro house and large fuzzy ears. Wearing his giant, neon red, mouse head, Deadmau5 a.k.a. Joel Zimmerman takes home for the second year in a row both “Best Progressive House Artist” and “Best Electro House Artist”.

Dubbed “Greatest House DJ Ever” with his newly released work titled “For Lack of a Better Name”, a continuation of his debut, “Random Album Title”. This release is chock full of expansive, epic singles such as ‘Strobe’ and ‘Ghosts n Stuff’, featuring Rob Swire from Pendulum. In contrast it also plays to a more light-hearted, upbeat mood with pieces like fun and funky ‘Hi Friend!’.

Another favorite is the continuation song ‘Moar Ghosts n’ Stuff’, opening with a creepy organ, thunder, and a voice stating “After I’m gone, your Earth will be free to live out its miserable span of existence as one of my satellites, and that’s how its going to be,” creating an almost partially evil mood, the quality of which is dragged down by repetitive vocals and similar musical patterns.
